Parks Bond Propositions
A primary funding component of parks and recreation improvements are the parks and recreation bond propositions that are presented to voters in the municipal election each April. Parks and Recreation bonds can only be used for development of capital improvements within the service area boundaries. The two bond service areas within Anchorage are the Anchorage Parks and Recreation Service Area (APRSA) and the Eagle River/Chugiak Parks and Recreation Service Area (ERCPRSA).
