Road Construction Update

Anchorage is a growing community and a northern city in an arctic climate
As a growing community, the transportation improvements needed to minimize congestion and maintain safety are increasing. As a northern city in an arctic climate, the road rehabilitation improvements needed to keep existing roads safe and maintainable is also significant.

Anchorage is fortunate to have a steady flow of funding to address these road infrastructure needs. Unfortunately, doing road work requires working in the road. And, balancing the need for the road to be closed with the need for traffic circulation and access to be maintained is a constant challenge.

Communication with the community on our ongoing projects affecting transportation routes is of utmost importance.
