Site selection, design, and construction  management of this $56 million facility, 181,000 SF building including 400 general-population beds and maximum security beds, medical facilities, inebriate transfer station, and magistrate court space. Capable of expanding to 600 beds. Project completion: January 2002.

New Convention Center

Feasibility, site selection, and preliminary design of a new $100 million, 280,000 SF facility with a 50,000 SF exhibition hall.  Potential sites include tract near the railroad headquarters building and an area northeast of 5th Avenue mall.  Feasibility review and preliminary site selection complete.

 New Downtown Fire Station #1 and Administration Offices and Police Substation 

Design/build 29,000 SF replacement of Fire Station #1 with new fire administration offices and police substation.
Project completion: October 2001.

New DHHS/Transit Facilities

Site selection and design of a new 60,000 SF replacement Health and Human Services building and 40,000 SF transit center near the universities and hospital.  RFP scheduled for fall of 2001.
