Clean & Green
Groups of community members focus on parks and trails that need special attention. These small projects promote safety and health for all park users. Necessary equipment will be provided by The Anchorage Park Foundation.
Citizen Weeds Warriors
Invasive weeds are defined as “non-native plants, which are introduced to Alaska, and have a negative impact on ecosystems, the economy, or cause harm to human health.” Help control the spread of invasive weeds in our parks by becoming a Citizen Weeds Warrior. We have events scheduled throughout the summer and are in need of volunteers. Sign up today!
City-Wide Cleanup
The Anchorage Chamber of Commerce’s City-wide Cleanup begins early May. Volunteers choose a park or trail that needs some special attention after the long winter. Download the Cleanup Brochure for a complete list of activities.

United Way has partnered with the Fairview Community Council and the Municipality of Anchorage to improve parks within the Fairview area with a spring Day of Caring.
