The Fairview Community Recreation Center features a full sized gymnasium, smaller youth gymnasium, weight room, dance/martial arts studio, arts and crafts studio, 2 saunas, multipurpose room, industrial kitchen, nursery, teen center and computer lab.   

Room Rentals:
Fairview Recreation Center rents out each of its rooms to private groups for special events.  Meeting rooms are great for business seminars or birthday parties.  The multi-purpose room is available for large meetings, luncheons, receptions and seminars (up to 130 people).  The commercial size kitchen (adjoining the multi-purpose room) can be rented by itself or as part of any room rental.  A smaller meeting room is available for groups of up to 12 people.  The gymnasium can accommodate anything from volleyball team practice to a regional basketball tournament.  The dance studio is the perfect setting for a private dance lesson or a martial arts seminar.  Please contact 343-4130 for information on reservation procedures and availability, or fill out the
 Room Rental Reservation Request  and fax it to 343-4132. For requests that include alcohol, and   Alcohol Waiver must be submitted as well. See the Parks & Recreation   fee schedule for an indepth listing of current fees.

*Additional charges are added for before and after rentals, table and chair set-up and alcohol permits.  When considering a rental, set up and clean up times need to be included in your request.

Pottery Studio:
The pottery studio has professional pottery throwing wheels, a limited number of ceramic molds, and commerical-grade firing kilns.  This multipurpose area can accommodate classes in arts & crafts, pottery, etc.  This room can also be used as a meeting room (maximum 20).   

Computer Lab:
The Fairview Computer Lab is open for youth and adults to use for education and recreation. The computer lab has 8 IBM computers available to access the internet. Word processing and graphics software is available, and documents print out on a high quality laser printer.  Lab is open Monday-Friday, 12:30-8:00pm.

Dance/Martial Arts Studio:
Measures 12'x21' (capacity 33) and features a wood floor, full mirrors and ballet bar on one wall, 4'x8' chalk board, direct access to table/chair and mat storage (can be used as a class room).  

Kitchen:
This commercial size kitchen can be used by groups who wish to serve food during their event. The Kitchen is approved for the preparation and cooking of food for sale to the general public, including utensil cleaning. The kitchen features a 3 compartment sink, commercial dishwasher, microwave oven, 8 burner gas stove with a center grill and oven, movable preparation tables, moveable 3 compartment food warmer, 4 burner coffee machine, and a serving window between kitchen and multipurpose room. Individuals must provide their own utensils, dishes, cooking equipment, and trash bags.  

Main Gymnasium:
The main gym dimensions are 70'x100' (area capacity 460, bleachers hold 270). The composite floor is excellent for competition or practices with lines for basketball, volleyball, indoor soccer, badminton, and tennis. Other functions include: shows, fairs, bazaars, and banquets.
  

Weight Room:
A modern weight training room offers a wide variety of weight machines, free weights, treadmills, Stair Master and exercise bikes.  The mens and womens locker rooms each have their own sauna and showers.

Multipurpose Room:
This 36'x54' (capacity 129) room is ideal for large meetings, presentations, luncheons, and receptions. Features include: carpeting, direct access to table/chair storage and a commercial kitchen, integrated PA system, piano, and a partition to divide the room in half.  

Teen Center:
The Teen Center is a special place for youth, 12-18 years, to have fun.  The Game Room offers pool tables, air hockey, foosball and video games.  The TV Lounge features a 62" big screen TV.  Teen Center activities also include field trips, programs and educational classes.     

Youth Gym:
The youth gym measures 32'x68' (capacity 145 no bleachers) and can be used for basketball, volleyball, badminton, indoor soccer and hockey, and other games on a wood floor.
