Park Planning Section

The Park Planning Section of the Parks & Recreation Department develops and updates park projects and development in accordance with the Anchorage Bowl Park, Natural Resource, and Recreation Facility Plan (commonly known as the Park Plan). The Park Plan defines the standard required for park land per Municipal population and identifies park development and acquisition projects to maintain the standard as Anchorage's population grows.
