Contract Compliance Program
The Municipality of Anchorage is required by federal law to obtain employment information from all businesses that have contracts with the Municipality in the amount of $50,000 or more per year. This information includes the contractor's current work force composition by race and gender; the contractor's policies and procedures for recruiting and hiring, as well as terminating and promoting employees; and similar information for any subcontractors employed by the contractor. Forms for meeting these annual reporting requirements are contained in the Contract Compliance Specifications, Equal Opportunity Special Provisions. These Specifications are mailed out on an annual basis to all contractors who have previously done business with the Municipality, and to all new contractors prior to award of a contract.
