Anchorage Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC)
The Anchorage LEPC seeks to uphold federal, state, and local laws pertaining to emergency/disaster planning and Community Right-to-Know reporting. The Anchorage LEPC is designated as an All-Hazards LEPC and is partially funded by a state grant that is administered by the Municipality of Anchorage Office of Emergency Management.
At the Anchorage LEPC January 2007 meeting, it was unanimously approved to hold three (3) meetings per year ~ January, May, and September, just prior to the LEPCA and SERC meetings.
This Committee publishes an Annual Notice declaring the Community Right-To-Know hazardous materials information on facilities in the Anchorage area are available for public review. For further information, please Click Here.
The next scheduled Anchorage LEPC meeting is September 10, 2008. The agenda will be available at least 2 weeks prior to the meeting. The minutes of the January 9, 2008 meeting will be available when they are ready. All meetings are held at the Office of Emergency Management, 1305 E Street, Anchorage. Unless posted otherwise, the meetings begin at 10:00AM and end no later than 12:00 Noon.
