Municipal Airports Aviation Advisory Commission (MAAAC)
The Municipal Airports Aviation Advisory Commission (MAAAC) operates under the provisions of Chapter 4.60.160 of the Municipal Code.
The Municipal Airports Aviation Advisory Commission (MAAAC) holds its regularly scheduled meetings on the 1st Thursday of every odd-numbered month (January, March, May, July, September, November) from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM. Volunteers Make a Difference
The Mayor's office is always looking for citizens who are willing to take part in the Municipal government process and who are willing to work to make our community a better place to live. Almost a third of the members on Municipal boards and commissions are appointed each year. Appointments are usually made in February for a three-year term and are subject to approval by the Anchorage Assembly.
If interested, send a brief letter and résumé to the Mayor's office, or call and ask for an application. Applications are kept on hand for openings that may become available throughout the year.
