Animal Care & Control Officers respond to an average of 800 citizen requests for services per month regarding animal cruelty, animal bites, loose animals, barking dogs, and injured animals. Animal Control also accepts unwanted animals from their owners, rescues injured animals, reunites lost pets with their owners, provides an adoption service and public education programs, as well as coordinates avid volunteer programs.
