Description of Major Duties
The Municipality of Anchorage is looking for college students that are interested in a volunteer internship that will introduce the applicant to the many aspects of local government while working in the Mayor’s office or a city department of interest.
Length of Internship
Determined by intern supervisor after interview.
Selection Criteria
- Ability to work with diverse groups
- Ability to communicate on a professional level.
- Must be committed to working a minimum of one to two hours each day during the work week (must meet the required 120 hours of work during the semester).
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Have basic knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel.
- Basic typing skills.
- Familiar with conducting internet research.
- Ability to work independently.
- Punctuality and reliability.
- Ability to adhere to confidentiality agreement if applicable.

Eligibility
Applicants must have at least a 2.0 GPA and currently enrolled as a full-time university student.
