IMT Response Protocols for 2008

Once you receive notice that your IMT has been activated, by either the Rapid Reach calling system or actually called by your IC or other representative, and have accepted, you will need to be “on-scene” responding to the situation:

1. As soon as possible if designated as first responder to the incident
Or
2. Within 48 hours if designated to “shadow” the incident

In the event of an actual deployment, your team’s activation status (first responder or shadow) will be announced in the IMT activation notice. Your activation call will also let you know where your team will be meeting to debrief on the incident.
