The Anchorage Senior Center is owned by the Municipality of Anchorage and operated by Anchor-Age Center, a non-profit corporation, under contract with the Municipality.

The Anchorage Senior Center is a bustling activity center that provides meals, health services, information and referral services, arts and crafts, and educational and recreational programs. The Center is well used by its 2,000+ members. Community groups also rent space for meetings, socials, weddings, receptions, and other events. Presentations and meetings are often held to inform seniors of issues relevant to their well-being.

Chugiak Senior Center

The Chugiak Senior Center is owned by the Municipality of Anchorage and operated by Chugiak Senior Citizens Inc., a non-profit corporation, under contract with the Municipality.

Chugiak Senior Center provides services to people 55 years of age and older who live in the greater Chugiak/Eagle River/Birchwood and Eklutna areas. The facility has 63 independent living apartments and 20 assisted living apartments. It offers programs and services to both residents and non-residents. The services offered by the Center are all geared toward helping seniors remain in their chosen community. These services include: Adult Day Care for Seniors with Alzheimer's disease and dementia who need a place to go during the day; meal service on site, as well as delivered to home-bound seniors who cannot go to the Center; nutrition education; outreach and referrals; transportation and escort services as needed; and programs and support services. Aerobics classes, art classes, various support group meetings, bingo, a beauty shop, slide shows and movies, pet therapy, and musical presentations are regularly available on site.

Mabel T. Caverly Senior Center

The Mabel T. Caverly Senior Center (MTCSC) is a non-profit 501-C Corporation with the mission to provide social, recreational and/or emotional support to elderly persons in the Anchorage area. They specifically seek out individuals who are elderly, frail, or low-income.

They provide reimbursements of up to $300 through the DEAP (dental, eyeglasses, hearing aides, and prescription drugs) program. The Center also operates a transportation service for members to participate in Center activities, classes and programs. In collaboration with the Food Bank, MTCSC distributes CSFP food boxes to low income seniors monthly and also collect donations of store gift certificates for seniors who need a little aid. Information and referral are continuous daily services.
