Turnagain Arm The Wildfire Mitigation Office, in partnership with the Girdwood Fire Department and the Girdwood Board of Supervisors provided a brush lot where residents could take brush from clearing defensible space.  This brush was chipped over two weekends in July and August of 2001.  Chips were used for local Girdwood trails and many homeowners used the chips for landscaping.
