Snow Removal Update

Current Status: No additional snow has fallen in the past 24 hours. Snow hauling operations in residential areas will continue where drainage problems exist. Additionally crews are clearing snow from drainage structures and using steam boilers to thaw frozen storm drain systems where necessary. Pothole patching crews are also working both day and night shift. Additionally crews are preparing for the beginning of the street sweeping season. Street sweeping will begin this Sunday evening April 8th. The sweeping will initially be limited to night shift operations in the Central Business District but will expand to sweeping of arterial and collector streets as weather permits.
Crews are continuing to work a 5-10s schedule both night and day shifts.

We have removed snow from approximately 95% of neighborhoods at least once this year with operations continuing around the clock.
It is also important to remember many large roads, such as Debarr, Muldoon, Tudor, Minnesota, and the main roads on the hillside are State owned & maintained.
