History:

This park was created in June 1997. The property had been homesteaded by the Klatt family and was a tree & sod farm. The proposal for this park was for 5 soccer fields, a trail system, 3 American Legion ball fields, 4 little league ball fields, playgrounds, open play areas, picnic shelters, an irrigation system, concession stands & a maintenance building. The property was acquired through a land trade.
