EOC Response Teams
Depending on the scale of the emergency or disaster, members of the EOC Response Teams respond to the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) to support incident response and develop a common operational picture.
Three teams of approximately 50 people each rotate 12-hour shifts. These teams of dedicated and motivated people are not first responders (such as police or fire fighters) but are an essential group of volunteers who support the incident commander's field response objectives and ensure that human needs are met during an emergency.
Required FEMA training courses:
Additional classroom courses for persons with EOC supervisory or management positions.
These courses are offered locally by a coordinating agency or as a non-resident course at the Emergency Management Institute:
- ICS 300: Intermediate Incident Command System for Expanding Incidents
- ICS 400: Advanced Incident Command System for Command and General Staff-Complex Incidents
