Girdwood Area Plan UpdateThe current Girdwood Area Plan (GAP) was adopted in 1995 and is intended to provide broad policy guidance for land use and development. Staff time permitting, work on the GAP Update may resume in the fourth quarter of 2012. Turnagain Arm Comprehensive PlanThe Turnagain Arm Comprehensive Plan update was adopted by the Anchorage Assembly in December 2009. Title 21 RewriteAs a major implementation element of the Comprehensive Plan, the Title 21 Land Use Code is in the process of being re-written for the first time in over 35 years. Anchorage Commercial Land AssessmentThis project evaluates current and projected market conditions and determine to what extent the current land supply available for commercial development meets the projected need to year 2030 and beyond. Anchorage Wetlands Management Plan RevisionAnchorage was one of the first communities in the country to adopt a local wetlands management plan. Originally adopted in 1982, this plan maps and provides management strategies for every freshwater wetland in the Municipality. UMED District PlanThis plan will provide a framework for continued development of educational, health, housing, commercial, and public infrastructure and programs for the UMED District. |
