Every metropolitan area with a population of more than 50,000 residents must have a designated MPO in order to qualify for federal highway or transit assistance.

The Non-Motorized Plan (NMP) is now out for public review, Jan 4th – March 5th. Check out the project website and send your comments to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you missed the event, the AMATS Non-motorized Plan Virtual Open House was held on February 18, 2021. Staff presented the plan, conducted participant surveys, and took questions and comments throughout the event.

The AMATS BPAC Meeting for March 2nd, 2021 will be done via Teams Live in the link provided above. The normal meeting room will not be open to the public for this meeting.
Anyone may request to provide public comment on any of the agenda items listed above via phone. To do so, please email AMATSinfo@anchorageak.gov by 5:30pm on Wednesday March 1st, 2021 with your name and requested agenda item(s). AMATS will send you the phone number to call and provide testimony on the day of the meeting March 2nd.
The teams live will also have Q&A enabled, so members of the public will be able to ask questions and get answers during the meeting.
