The next Regular Municipal Election will be on Tuesday, April 6, 2021.
On Friday, November 13, 2020, the Voter Address Verification Postcard was mailed to 241,824 registered voters in Anchorage in preparation for the April 6, 2021 Regular Municipal Election. The intent of this postcard is for voters to review their voter address information. If all information is correct, no action is necessary, and the ballot package for the April 6, 2021 election will be mailed to the voter's mailing address on the postcard. If any information needs to be updated, voters can update through the State of Alaska's Online Voter Registration website: voterregistration.alaska.gov.
The Municipality of Anchorage receives voter registration information from the State of Alaska, Division of Elections. In order to update or to be removed from the registration records, voters should contact the state Division of Elections at voterregistration.alaska.gov, (907) 522-8683, or email@example.com.
Temporary Address Applications
Ballot packages will be mailed to qualified Anchorage voters on March 15, 2021. To receive your ballot package at an address other than your Voter Registration mailing address, please fill out an Application to Vote at a Temporary Address.
Filing for Office for the April 6, 2021 Regular Municipal Election opens Friday, January 15, 2021, at 8:00 a.m. and closes on Friday, January 29, 2021, at 5:00 p.m.

Regular municipal elections are held in April and are Vote at Home elections. Traditional polling places will not be open and are not an option for voting on Election Day.
The last day to register to vote or update your voter registration is on Sunday, March 7, 2021, 30 days before the next regular or special municipal election. It is important for your address information in the voter registration database to be current.
