Americans With Disabilities Act Ken Takakuwa 343-6730 A program advisory commission that reviews the ADA to maintain a clear and comprehensive understanding of federal legislation and make recommendations to the Mayor and Municipal Assembly in matters pertaining to the adoption, change or repeal of municipal laws, rules, regulations, restrictions affecting individuals with disabilities. Meets 2nd Tuesday each month, 4:00 p.m.
Anchorage Community Development Authority Ron Pollock 276-7275 This board governs the work of the public corporation which is wholly-owned by the Municipality.  It engages in public/private development projects to enhance the economic and social well-being of Anchorage.  In addition, the Authority also manages the Anchorage Parking including setting policy for parking, developing parking facilities, and the Saturday and Sunday markets Meets 4th Thursday each month, 4 p.m. 
Animal Control  DeeAnn Fetko  343-8136  A program advisory commission established to advise the municipality on issues involving control and treatment of animals; makes recommendations on changes to Title 17; conducts public hearings on animal matters.  Meets 4th Thursday each month, 5:30 p.m. 
Animal Control Appeals  Tim Middleton  343-4535  A program advisory board that conducts administrative hearings on appeals from decisions of the Chief Animal Control Officer.  Meets as needed. 
Arts  John Brower 561-8000  A program advisory commission that solicits/reviews applications and makes funding recommendations for nonprofit arts organizations.  Meets 1st Monday of each month, 5:30 p.m. 
Bear Valley  Gerry Pineau 343-8176  A limited road service area board elected by popular vote or appointed by the Mayor created for a three-year period to oversee road maintenance in the Bear Valley area.  Meets as needed. 
Bidding Review  Bart Mauldin  343-4691  A technical advisory board that reviews protested bid awards and makes recommendations to the Municipal Assembly.  Meets as needed. 
Birch Tree/Elmore  Gerry Pineau 343-8176  A limited road service area board elected by popular vote or appointed by the Mayor created for a three-year period to oversee road maintenance in the Birch Tree/Elmore area.  Meets as needed. 
Budget Advisory  Wanda Phillips 343-6783 A technical advisory commission that conducts an organized citizens' review of the proposed municipal operating budget and other fiscal issues.  Meets 1st Wednesday each month, 11:30 a.m. 
Building Ron Thompson 343-8307  A regulatory/adjudicatory board that serves as a quasi-judicial board for appeals of decisions of the Building Official; reviews building codes.  Meets 1st/3rd Thursday each month, 7:30 p.m. 
Campbell Airstrip  Gerry Pineau 343-8176  A limited road service area board elected by popular vote or appointed by the Mayor created for a three-year period to oversee road maintenance in the Campbell Airstrip area.  Meets as needed. 
Cemetery Don Warden  343-6814  A program advisory board that reviews the operation and budget of the cemetery and advises on the adoption, change, repeal or alteration of rules/regulations on cemetery services.  1st Monday, Bi-monthly (even), 5:30 pm 
Chugiak-E.R. Parks & Rec  John Rodda  694-2011  A service area board of elected representatives by each community council and a member-at-large appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Assembly. The board advises and assists the municipality on parks and recreation needs of Eagle River and Chugiak.  Meets 2nd Monday each month, 7:00 p.m. 
Chugiak, Birchwood, Eagle River Rural Road Board Scott Schnell 694-3485 A service area board of elected representatives of each community council that advises the Municipality on the level and type of road services desired by Eagle River residents.  Meets 4th Monday each month. 
Cooperative Services Authority Patti Judd 343-4192 The board of directors for the municipally-owned authority that lowers costs through managed purchasing of supplied for the city and other public agencies. Meets as needed

(ADA) 
Ken Takakuwa 343-6730 A program advisory commission that reviews, recommends compliance and implements the Americans With Disabilities Act accordingly throughout the Municipality.  Meets as needed
Education and Workforce Development Lisa Arnold 343-4571 A program advisory commission that assesses the current and future work force training needs of the community and plans to address those needs. The commission analyzes the Anchorage School District's annual budget and advises the Mayor and Municipal Assembly on quantitative and qualitative aspects of the Anchorage School District budgets. Meets 2nd Thursday each month, 12 noon.
Election  Lupe Marroquin 343-4376  A technical advisory commission that recommends election procedures and serves as canvass board for municipal elections.  As needed (during elections).

Employee Relations  David Otto 343-4425  A regulatory/adjudicatory board that conducts hearings and rules on disputes of unfair labor practices.  Meets every Friday as needed 
Equal Rights  Barbara Jones 343-4342  A regulatory/adjudicatory commission that works to prevent and eliminate discrimination based on race, color, sex, religion, marital status, age, disability, housing, education and financing. Holds hearings and issues orders on charges of discrimination.  Meets quarterly, 3rd Thursday, 6 p.m.

Girdwood  Gerry Pineau 343-8176  A five-member board that sets the budget and manages the road, fire and parks service areas in Girdwood. Meets 3rd Monday each month, 7 PM 
Glen Alps  Gerry Pineau 343-8176  A limited road service area board elected by popular vote or appointed by the Mayor created for a three-year period to oversee road maintenance in the Glen Alps area.  Meets as needed. 
Health & Human Services Nathan Johnson 343-6513 A program advisory commission that develops a comprehensive health services plan; advises on budget and programs of the Health Department and legislative matters affecting health programs.  Meets 2nd Wednesday each month, 5:30 p.m. 
Heritage Land Bank Bill Mehner 343-4334  A program advisory commission that advises on acquisition, management and disposal of municipal lands in the Heritage Land Bank and allocation of land bank revenues.  Meets 2nd Thursday each month, 11:30am. 
Historic Preservation  Susanne Fleek 343-4354 A program advisory board that designates buildings and structures of historical or architectural significance; develops and maintains inventory of historic structures and sites.  Meets 2nd Thursday each month, 11:30am. 
Housing  Tyler Robinson 343-4226  A program advisory commission that identifies long-term and short-term housing issues; reviews and recommends on proposed allocation of federal, state and municipal revenues for housing programs; includes Homelessness Task Force. Meets 2nd Wednesday each month, 4:00 -6:00 pm 
 Human Resources  David Otto 343-4425  A regulatory/adjudicatory board that reviews and recommends revisions to municipal personnel rules.  Meets 2nd Thursday each month, 12 noon. 
Investment  Dan Moore  343-4092  A technical advisory commission that recommends and gives advice on matters concerning investment of municipal funds.  Meets 1st Wednesday quarterly, 12 noon. 
Lakehill  Gerry Pineau 343-8176  A limited road service area board elected by popular vote or appointed by the Mayor created for a three-year period to oversee road maintenance in the Lakehill area.  Meets as needed. 
Library Karen Keller 343-2892 A program advisory board that recommends policies and procedures for all library operations, including programs, number and location of facilities, hours of service; reviews library operating and capital budgets.  Meets 3rd Wednesday each month, 5:30 p.m. 
Light & Power  Jim Posey 279-7671  A utility commission that reviews electric service rates, regulations, policies and practices and recommends expansion and improvements to ensure reliable electric service at the lowest possible cost.  Meets 2nd Wednesday, each month (day varies), 12 noon 
Military & Veterans  C.W. Floyd 343-4641 A program advisory commission that provides liaison between the municipal government, active duty military and the veterans community. Meets 1st Monday each month, 12 noon.

On-site Systems Technical Review  Dan Roth 343-7907 A quasi-judicial board that reviews, makes recommendations and enforces on-site wastewater system standards; oversees the municipal NPDES storm water program;  provides information to homeowners; hears appeals of decisions by the Director of Development Services.  Meets 2nd Wednesday each month, 11:30 a.m. 
Parks and Recreation Jeff Dillon 343-4355  A program advisory commission that reviews and advises on parks planning and acquisition, policies and programs; recommends names for park sites and recreation facilities.  Meets 2nd Thursday each month, 6:30 p.m.

Platting  Jerry Weaver  343-7939 A regulatory/adjudicatory board that implements the comprehensive plan and other plans by enforcing subdivision regulations; conducts public hearings on plat applications and vacations of dedicated public areas.  Meets 1st Wednesday each month, 6:30 p.m. 
Port  Bill Sheffield 343-6200  A regulatory/adjudicatory commission that advises on rules and regulations relating to the operation of the terminal/transportation facilities at the port.  Meets each month (day varies), 12 noon.
