Dan is a lifelong resident of Anchorage. He is married to Pauline and has four children, Ryan, Kevin, Shane and Edward. He is retired from a 30 year career as a commercial and land use attorney. He is “Of Counsel” to his old firm, consulting on matters which do not relate to the Municipality of Anchorage. Dan is also an owner of the Alaska Aces, four (4) Xpress Lube facilities and a wholesale lumber supply company. Over the years, Dan has been active in community affairs having served on the Board of the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation, on the Anchorage Museum Board, as Chairman of the Alaska Board of Fisheries and as Chairman of the Planning and Commission. He is a member of the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce and the Anchorage Home Builders Association. Previously, Dan coached YMCA basketball and currently coaches Little League Baseball. He is Chairman of Barrier Free Recreation, a non profit corporation which operates a camp for handicapped persons at Beach Lake, Alaska.
