Youth are our best resource; this will result in greater election participation.
The Youth Election Assistant program will allow youth at least 16 years of age, who are enrolled in school and meet the qualifications, to join seasoned election board members to learn the procedures and assist voters.
Engaging youth is an important initial step to encourage increased election participation by voters and developing an increased pool of election workers.
Requirements:
At least 16 years old.
Enrolled in public or private school, or being educated in your home by a parent or legal guardian.
Approval signature of your parent/guardian and teacher/principal
Will attend mandatory training as determined by the Office of the Municipal Clerk - Election Office.
