Jennifer Johnston and her husband, Allan have lived in south Anchorage for 19 years and have three grown children that graduated from the Anchorage School District. Jennifer is an outdoor educator who primarily works with at risk students. She chairs the Chugach State Park Advisory Board, is the immediate past chair of the Hillside East Community Council, and a former board member and chair of the Anchorage Center for Families. She is an accomplished skier and mountain climber, summiting Mount McKinley with her daughter, the youngest girl to have reached the peak. Jennifer founded RurAL CAP Ski Go Club, an urban rural exchange bringing cross-country skiing to schools in the Arctic Northwest region of Alaska. Jennifer was elected to the Assembly in 2007 and represents South Anchorage residents.
