A Native of the state of Indiana, Mike has been a resident of Anchorage since 1998. He has worked as a Legislative Aide to State Senator Johnny Ellis, as a program coordinator in the Department of Labor and Workforce Development, and as staff to the Anchorage Municipal Assembly. Mike is currently the Coordinator of the Mountain View Weed and Seed program.

Mike is an active participant in the efforts of the Tri-Borough Anti-Gang and Youth Violence Policy Team, is a former member of the Anchorage Equal Rights Commission, and an active member of the Russian Jack Community Council. Mike has also served as Russian Jack’s representative to the Anchorage Federation of Community Councils.

Mike and his wife Linda live in the Wonder Park neighborhood. Mike is a graduate of Manchester College in North Manchester, Indiana and of Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Political Science.
