Updated Paperwork Requirement for Mid West Police Testing & Non-Sworn Job Openings

Mid-West Police Officer Recruiting Trip The APD Recruiting Unit will be traveling in May to the following states to process police officer applicants; Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota and Wisconsin. Details on dates and locations are listed below. Those interested in testing in one of these locations need to submit a request to test form with the city name you plan on testing in noted on the top of the request to test form. Normally out of state applicants have to make two separate one week trips to Anchorage to complete the hiring process. By testing at one of the locations below, the applicant will reduce the number of trips they have to make to Anchorage down to one. This testing process is to hire for an academy anticipated to start at the end of January 2009. Those that submit their request to test form in advance will only need to bring their driver's license and completed Background Questionnaire with them to the testing site. Although advance registration is preferred, walk-ins will be accepted if they meet the requirements. Spouses and/or significant others are encouraged to attend the morning briefings. In order to ensure that your request to test form is processed in time for testing, have it submitted by the end of June. The next testing cycle after July is October 4th, 2008. Both of these testing cycles will be to hire for an academy anticipated to start at the end of January 2009.
