Trail Reports - September 2004
-
9/5/04, CT-1 and CT-2, 7:00 - 8:30 AM Few trail users early Sunday morning. No wildlife sightings. No problems to report other than more broken glass in the tunnel benearth the train tracks at Elderbury Park.

September 3, 2004 Old bridge in Forsyth Park on Birch Rd. near O'Malley Elementary On my walk today I noticed that the wooden overhead support beam of the old bridge near O'Malley Elementary in Forsyth Park had fallen down onto the bridge. From what I can tell it was due to rotten wood. Also there are possibly some planks on the walk way that need to be replaced.

There is a missing decking board on the first bridge north of the airstrip on the Old Rondy Trail.9/2/04 - CT-1 and CT-2, 6:00 - 8:00 PM More trail users than I would have expected for a rainy Thursday, but it cleared up late in the day and that brought out the trail users. No suspicious activity and no problems on the Trail. Thank you to Maintenance for the clean up of erosion at the tunnel near Elderbury Park. Still some dirt is still on the trail, but it is not a hazard, and the glass has been cleaned up in the tunnel as well. VERY good compliance with the leash law tonight as well. Never had an easier patrol than tonight. Even the hill at Earthquake Park seemed a little less steep.
