ANCHORAGE - Anchorage Animal Care & Control (AACC) is pleased to announce a partnership with AnchorRIDES for delivery of dog and cat food and cat litter to AnchorRIDES clients.

AACC maintains a Pet Food Bank for pet owners in need of temporary assistance. Previously, pet owners had to come to AACC to access the Food Bank. By partnering with AnchorRIDES, AACC will now be able to help pet owners who are unable to come to the shelter. This will help us reach more animals in need and there will be fewer empty food bowls. #justsaynotoanemptybowl!

To participate, individuals requesting delivery must be eligible and enrolled in the AnchorRIDES program. To determine eligibility or to enroll, people should contact the AnchorRIDES Eligibility Office at 907.343.6543, Option 2 or visit www.AnchorRIDES.org. Eligible individuals can contact AACC at accs@anchorageak.gov regarding delivery.

For others in need of temporary assistance with pet food or cat litter, AACC offers curbside delivery. Pet owners can come to AACC and call us at 907.343.8122 and we'll deliver to their car. Pet Food Bank hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 11 am - 6:30 pm and Saturday-Sunday, 10 am - 5:30 pm.
