Kids Ride People Mover Free on Thursdays all Summer

ANCHORAGE - People Mover's annual Youth Ride Free on Thursday's Summer Program begins tomorrow, Thursday, May 24 and will continue through August 16, 2018.

Anchorage youth between 5 and 18 years of age can ride the People Mover bus FREE on Thursdays. Good news for parents planning activities during summer: thanks to the Youth Ride Free program , youth can take the bus on Thursdays to local parks, baseball and soccer fields, the mall, bowling alley, movie theater, or to visit friends and relatives. No special identification cards will be required; however, older youth may be asked to show proof of age to bus operator.

Getting to and from the bus stop may require a short walk, skateboard or bike ride. And yes, they can take their bike or skateboard on the bus.
