Bus Fares and Passes
Sales Locations
One way cash fares and day passes may be purchased on the bus. Have exact fares as drivers do not make change.
Month and day passes can be purchased online, at the downtown transit center and at several outlet locations around Anchorage and Eagle River. In addition passes may be purchased by mail. Call the People Mover Rideline at 907-343-6543 for a Pass by mail form.
Tokens can be purchased at the same locations but not online. click for a list of outlet locations.
One Way Cash Fare
One way exact cash fare is good for one continuous trip to end of route. Additional fare is required to continue travel.

Elementary school teacher, class, accompanying aides and parents receive unlimited field trips throughout the current school year. Advance notice of trips must be arranged through Anchorage School District Community Resource Center. Groups of 30 or less.

Employees of participating businesses who have enrolled in the program received unlimited People Mover bus rides for a determined amount of time.

Pass Descriptions
ASD Class Pass
People Mover offers each Anchorage School District elementary teacher the option of purchasing a school year group class pass for $50. This photo ID Class Pass allows groups of 30, including the teacher, accompanying aides and parents to use People Mover buses for unlimited field trips throughout the current school year. Contact Customer Service at 343-6526 or 343-6543 for information.
Day Pass
One-day (unlimited ride) passes are sold on the bus with exact change, or can be purchased in advance at the Downtown and Dimond Transit Centers and other outlets. Day passes are valid only for the calendar day of purchase. Let bus operator know you want a day pass BEFORE you put money into the fare box.
Employer Sponsored Pass (ESP)
ESP allows a business or agency to purchase Month passes monthly for their employees. Participating employees are given a photo ID pass and need not purchase a new pass every month. People Mover Customer Service Office arranges payment on a monthly or quarterly basis; and employers are billed only for those employees currently enrolled in the program.
