Customer Service Relocation

People Mover Customer Service & RideLine will be closed Friday and reopen at temporary location Monday, August 24.

People Mover's Customer Service office will temporarily relocate to 517 West Seventh Avenue, Suite 200, in preparation for Anchorage Community Development Authority's (ACDA) upcoming Sixth Avenue Redevelopment Project. The building will be closed to the public beginning Friday, August 21, until further notice. Riders will be able to continue to board and exit buses at the Downtown Transit Center.

The temporary Customer Service office will be open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The following services will be available:

  • Ticket sales
  • Lost and Found
  • In-person communication
  • Processing half-fare applications
  • Trip Planning

There will be no indoor waiting area or public restrooms at the temporary location.

Temporarily relocating Customer Service allows ACDA to begin demolition inside the building while protecting customer and employee health and safety. The indoor work does not have any immediate effect on current bus loading/unloading.

The People Mover service change and implementation of a new bus route to the Loussac Library (originally scheduled for August) remains delayed until a new date is established in 2021.

We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause our riders. We will continue to work with ACDA and keep residents informed on the progress of the Sixth Avenue Redevelopment Project.
