The Administration Section of the Municipal Traffic Division is responsible for performing many essential tasks which we could not do without, such as office reception, adminstrative projects, personnel, finance, and important budget issues.  These employees are the unsung heroes of the Traffic Division and we are thankful for their dedication and contributions to the department.

The Special Activities Permit Program

Another popular program created and maintained by the Administration Section is the Special Activities Permit program.  This one-stop permitting process is for individuals or organizations who are organizing a pre-planned activity such as a parade, race, rally, or event that is conducted in or having direct effect upon the Municipal public Right-Of-Way.

The Administration Division is responsible for reviewing permits for MOA Policy and Procedure compliance, providing and coordinating insurance requirements, facilitating the review with the Traffic Division, the Anchorage Police and Fire Departments and other effected agencies, fee collection, and final permit approval and issuance.

For more information about the Special Activities Permit program, please contact the Traffic Division at 343-8406.
