SELF REGISTRATION SITE (SRS)

From the Purchasing Officer:

The Municipality of Anchorage (MOA) purchases goods and services through a competitive bid process. Requirements vary widely through the full range of services and commodities sold. As a result, the Municipality relies heavily upon the business community to supply its needs.

The Purchasing Department maintains a vendor file or data base of individuals and businesses interested in doing business with the Municipality. Anyone interested in receiving copies of invitations to bid or other solicitations may do so by registering thru the Self Registration Site (SRS).  This new system will be operational on or about October 2, 2017.   Please check back for updates and an operational URL to perform the registration. 

Once initially registered, the SRS will send you two emails.  The first email will be your temporary system User ID.  The second email will be your temporary system password. Upon receipt of your user ID and password it will be your responsibility to log into the system and change your User ID and password as well as update your company information.   You will then be responsible for maintaining/updating your company information; to include but not limited to:  company contact information, contact email(s), street address, etc.     The SRS will require vendors/contractors to provide UNSPSC (United Nations Standard Products and Services Codes) associated with all your business activities.   UNSPSC is an efficient, accurate and flexible classification system for achieving company-wide visibility of spend analysis, as well as enabling procurement to deliver on cost effectiveness demands.  SRS will allow you to search for applicable UNSPSC information. 

The UNSPSC numbers will be utilized by the MOA purchasing department to assist in identifying potential vendors/contractors.  For example, say your company provides Fire Suppression System under UNSPSC 46191608 and MOA Purchasing has a need for services under this code.  The system will search all vendors/contractors registered with this code and will allow the MOA Purchasing Department to email you a synopsis of the requirement(s) and provide you with information about how to obtain the complete solicitation package.  

Please accept my personal invitation to complete the SRS registration process.  The old paper application and process is no longer utilized and you are required to complete the SRS process; should you wish to do business with the MOA.
