The 23-year-old driver of the vehicle involved in this collision has been identified as Cesar Meza Jr. He continues to be in what is described as “critically stable” condition at a local hospital.

Two people were transported to area hospitals this morning following a single vehicle roll-over accident that briefly closed the outbound lanes of the Glenn Highway at the N. Birchwood exit.
On February 23, 2014, at 02:20 AM, Anchorage Police received a report of a single vehicle rollover accident on the Glenn Highway at the N. Birchwood exit. The initial call indicated that a man was lying in the middle of the road.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a white Saturn SUV had apparently lost control at the N. Birchwood Exit and flipped. The driver, a 23-year-old male, was ejected from the vehicle. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
The passenger, a 21-year-old female, remained inside the vehicle; she was also transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
The outbound lanes of the Glenn Highway were closed while police and medics attended to the victims and the crash scene; the highway fully reopened around 04:30 AM.
This accident is subject to further investigation; no further details are available at this time.
