Subject: Police Investigate Robbery Assault in East Anchorage
Anchorage Police are investigating a reported assault and armed robbery of a male in East Anchorage on Wednesday, February 27, 2014. At 6:15 p.m. APD Dispatch received a report from a male who said he had been assaulted and robbed by four males as he was walking home on the 300 block of Donna Drive. The victim told police the suspects had pulled up in a black SUV, got out of the vehicle and attacked him, while demanding his wallet. The victim told police that during the robbery, a black handgun was held to his neck, and the suspects took his wallet and fled the scene in the vehicle. The victim described the suspects as white, younger looking males wearing blue jeans and black coats. He said one of the suspects had a beard or goatee. The victim appeared to have minor, non-life threatening injuries and was checked out by medics.
