Subject: Police Ask for Public’s Help in Locating Man Charged with Sexual Abuse of a Minor
Anchorage police are asking the public for help in locating 32-year-old Daniel Carey who has an arrest warrant for sexual abuse of a minor in the second degree. Carey was a justice officer working at McLaughlin Youth Center. It was reported to police that Carey had met a juvenile who had been a resident at McLaughlin and developed a sexual relationship with the juvenile after the juvenile had left the youth center. Anyone with information on Carey’s whereabouts is asked to call police at 786-8900. Carey is no longer employed at McLaughlin Youth Center. An arrest warrant was issued for Carey on Friday, January 24, 2014. Police have been unable to locate or make contact with Carey.
