Subject: Passenger in Critical Condition Following Car Accident on O'Malley Road
Incident Update on Jan. 6, 2014:
A woman involved in a traffic collision last Thursday on O’Malley Road passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2013 as result of her injuries. The woman was identified as 29-year-old Ponesi Tufi. She was a passenger in the sedan that was involved in the collision. The collision is still under investigation.
Original Release on Jan. 2, 2014:
Just after 6:00 pm APD Dispatch received a report of a traffic accident with injuries on O'Malley Road near Livingston Street. When police and medics arrived, several people were transported to a local hospital for injuries. It was reported to police that a pick up truck and sedan collided on O'Malley Road. The driver of the pick up was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, in addition to the two passengers in the truck.
The front passenger of the sedan was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries and is listed in critical condition. The driver and two backseat passengers of the sedan were transported as well with non-life threatening injuries. The APD traffic unit is investigating the collision. O'Malley Road between Lake Otis and Livingston Street was closed from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. for police to conduct an investigation of the accident.
