Subject: Mt. View Stabbing Leaves Man Hospitalized
Anchorage Police responded to a stabbing in Mt. View yesterday; one man hospitalized following the incident.
On Saturday, October 26, at about 7:15 PM, police were called by a citizen who said she was approached in her Mt. View neighborhood, on Peterkin Street, by a male claiming to have just been stabbed. The victim appeared to be bleeding from the head and torso and was going in and out of consciousness. The victim, identified as Michael Edward Bussey, age 32, was transported to a nearby hospital where he is listed in stable condition suffering from multiple stab wounds to his torso.
Officers followed a blood trail through Mt. View to try to determine where the assault took place. While doing so, APD Dispatch received a call from a 59 year-old man who claimed that he had just stabbed Bussey following an altercation at his apartment complex located at the 200 block of North Klevin.
Officers have not been able to speak with Bussey because of his medical condition and are still trying to determine what exactly took place at the North Klevin apartment building. No one has been charged at this time.
Anyone with additional information related to this incident is asked to call Anchorage Police at 786-8900.
