Subject: Man Arrested and Charged with Terroristic Threatening
Anchorage police arrested and charged 44-year-old David Chau in regards to last night’s incident with a barricaded subject at an Eastridge residence. Chau has been charged with one count of Terroristic Threatening in the second degree. He was remanded to the Anchorage Jail and is scheduled to be arraigned at 2:30 p.m. this afternoon.
Original Release on Jan. 15, 2014:
Just before 5:00 pm Anchorage Police attempted to serve court paperwork to a male at an address located on the 1600 block of Eastridge Dr. The male retreated inside the residence and indicated he may have a bomb and is armed. SWAT and EOD were called out to the scene. Just after 7:00 p.m. police were able to apprehend the male without further incident. EOD found no explosive devices inside the residence, and no injuries or use of force were reported in the incident.
