Subject: Local Credit Union Robbed/Police Seeking Suspect

Today at about 4:19 PM, Anchorage Police received a call of bank robbery at the Alaska USA Federal Credit Union located at the 100 block of West Dimond Blvd.

Witnesses say a man entered the credit union and demanded money from the teller. The teller complied with the robber’s demands and the suspect fled the credit union with an undisclosed amount of cash. No weapons were reported and no injuries occurred during the robbery.

Witnesses were not sure whether the suspect left on foot or in a vehicle. Several officers responded, along with a police K-9 who searched the area, but, at the time of this release, have not located the suspect.

The robbery suspect is described as a black male, 25-30 years old, about 5’8" tall with an average to slim build.
