On November 30, 2013 at 1:15 a.m. Anchorage Police responded to a robbery reported at the Hampton Inn hotel located at 4301 Credit Union Drive. It was reported that three Pacific Islander males had entered the lobby; one armed with a shotgun and the two others with handguns. The males were given money from the front counter and left the hotel in a sedan driven by a fourth Pacific Islander male.
At 2:07 a.m. a robbery was reported to police at the Chevron located at 2200 W Dimond Blvd. The suspect descriptions matched those of the suspects from the robbery at the Hampton Inn. It was reported that three Pacific Islander males entered the Chevron, forcing an employee to the floor. One of the males (later identified as 23-year-old Miracle Tulimasealii) armed with a shotgun, fired multiple rounds at an ATM inside the store in an attempt to access it but was unsuccessful. The three males left with money and cigarettes from the store in the same vehicle driven by the same male from the previous robbery.
Around 2:30 a.m., Anchorage Police were investigating a separate incident at the Motel 6 located at 5000 A Street and discovered the four male suspects at the hotel matching the description of those involved in the two robberies. The four males were taken into police custody, interviewed by detectives, charged and arrested. The males involved in the robberies are 23-year-old Miracle Tulimasealii, 18-year-old Tusa Tanuvasa, 20-year-old Siaosi Sila, and 22-year-old Lonnie Reed, Jr. Each have been charged with two counts of Robbery in the first degree.
