Anchorage Police received a call from a woman this morning who stated she was walking her dogs in the area west of 19th Avenue and C Streets at about 9:30 a.m. when she discovered a body lying in Chester Creek.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the lifeless body a Native male, approximately 40-50 years old, partially submerged in the creek. Preliminary investigation did not reveal any signs of foul play. Officers said the man was not carrying any form of identification and may have been homeless. According to witnesses who frequent the area, the man was not there yesterday.
