Barricaded Subject Surrenders to Police after Assault/Standoff APD Case: 14-8761

Anchorage Police were called to a home located at the 2500 block of Curlew Circle at about 11:30 PM last night in reference to an assault. The female victim told police that her boyfriend was threatening to kill her with a gun and had already assaulted her by striking her in the face multiple times. The woman was transported to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries.

When policed arrived at the home they found the suspect, identified as Brandon Wilson, age 29, had barricaded himself inside the residence and refused to come out. Negotiations continued throughout the evening with Wilson threatening suicide several times. SWAT officers were called out to the scene to assist at about 2:30 AM. Just before 6 AM, Wilson emerged from the home and surrendered to police.

Wilson was taken into custody and charged with assault in the third degree. He was taken to the Anchorage Jail where he's being held without bail.
