Subject: Arrest Warrant Issued for Suspect Involved in House Party Shooting
An arrest warrant has been issued for the suspect believed to be involved in a shooting which took place at a residence located on the 2600 block of Easthaven Circle on Dec. 28, 2013 just after 4:00 a.m. Police have identified the suspect as 22-year-old Gregory Fort and have charged him with two counts of Assault in the first degree.
It was reported to police that the shooting happened during a house party at a residence on Easthaven Circle. When the host of the party asked Fort to leave he became combative and called a friend. When Fort’s friend arrived at the residence, the friend brandished a gun while making verbal threats. Fort took the gun from his friend and fired multiple shots at a crowd of people inside the residence. A 20-year-old male and 19-year-old female were shot during the incident. After the shooting, it was reported to police that Fort fled the residence in a vehicle.
When police and medics arrived on scene they discovered two victims who had been shot. Both victims were transported to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. Police have been unable to locate Fort and are asking anyone with information on his whereabouts to call police dispatch at 786-8900.
