Subject: Armed Robbery of Vehicle on Christmas Day
Case: 13-56054

On Wednesday, December 25, 2013  just after 5:00 p.m. Anchorage police responded to a report of an armed car robbery. The driver of the vehicle, a green 1995 Mercury Tracer, told police he was meeting with a friend he knew in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the area of Bragraw and 4th Avenue. Both males were standing outside of the vehicle, which had been left locked and running. When the driver refused to give the male a ride, the male pulled out a gun and pointed it at him, broke a window of the driver’s vehicle, opened the door and then drove off with the vehicle. Approximately 30 minutes later, Police found the vehicle unoccupied and running in the area of Northway and Penland. An arrest warrant has been issued for the suspect.
