Subject: Anchorage Police ask for Public’s Help in Locating Missing JBER Airman

Anchorage Police are asking the public for help in locating 22-year-old JBER Airman Tanner Volkers. A missing persons report was filed for Volkers on Sunday, December 8, 2013. Police responded to Volker’s residence in East Anchorage to investigate his disappearance. It was mentioned that Volkers was last seen at his residence on the evening of Saturday, December 7, 2013, and that he had taken some of his belongings and left on his own. Police have not discovered anything suspicious at this time surrounding Volkers’ disappearance, although he does have some health concerns.

It was noted that Volkers likes to recreate at various local trails including Flat Top, Arctic Valley, Thunderbird Falls and the Eagle River Nature Center. Volkers is described as white male, 5’10”, 150 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes. He drives a 2011 Black Dodge Truck.
