Subject: APD Officers Safely Apprehend Assault Suspect
On Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 10:24 a.m. APD Dispatch received a report of a female who was creating a disturbance at the apartment building she resides in on the 3000 block of Porcupine Trail Road near Wildien Drive. The caller reported that the female had been kicking at his door and that she entered his residence and assaulted him. The caller reported that the female had gone upstairs, back to her unit where it sounded like she was screaming and throwing objects inside the residence. The caller also stated that the female has a known mental illness and occasionally fires guns from her porch.
At 10:37 a.m. the caller reported the female was out on her deck with an unknown type of gun. When police arrived a few minutes later, they called for additional help from the APD SAU (Special Assignment Unit) to apprehend the suspected armed female. Police discovered the female had fled on foot before they arrived and she was located on Huffman Road near New Seward at 11:38 p.m. BB Guns were found inside of her residence.
The female suspect was identified as 41-year-old Michelle Marie Wold. She was arrested and charged with one count of Burglary in the 1st Degree and two counts of Assault in the 4th Degree.
