 Three Men Charged in Violent Incidents

Anchorage Police have charged three men associated with a violent home invasion robbery that occurred May 4, 2009.  One of those men was also charged with a shooting incident that occurred on February 23, 2010.

On May 4, 2009, three men burst into the residence of Tupou Satini who lived at the mobile home park located at 1200 West Dimond Boulevard.  Satini was at home with his five children, his brother, and his brother’s girlfriend.   One of the robbers struck Satini on the head with a pistol which discharged.  His brother and the girlfriend were shot by the robbers before the robbers fled.  All of the victims survived. 

Lanolan Anderson, 35, Jack Espinoza, Jr. 28, and Ath Som Chhay, 22 were indicted on March 9, 2010.  They were charged with Robbery, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, and Assault.  Anderson and Espinoza, Jr. will be arraigned on March 11, 2010 at 1:30 p.m.

Jack Espinoza, Jr. is currently incarcerated for his involvement in a recent shooting incident that occurred on February 23, 2010, at a mobile home park located at 3307 Boniface Parkway.  When officers arrived, they found 36 year old Samuel Colegrove lying in the street with a gunshot wound to the torso.  He identified his assailant as “Flo,” who police detectives knew as Jack Espinoza, Jr. Espinoza, Jr. was found hiding in a vehicle in the parking lot of the Northway Mall.  He was charged with Assault, Misconduct Involving Weapons and Tampering with Evidence.  His bail was set at $100,000.  The victim, Samuel Colegrove survived the shooting.

Note:      A criminal charge is merely an accusation of criminal wrongdoing.  All persons charged with crimes are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty by a court of law.
