On 1-4-10 at 02:21 hours Anchorage Police officers responded to a local hospital emergency room to the report of a victim of a stabbing.  Upon arrival they met Kenneth Paniptchuk, a 22 year old Anchorage resident who presented with several lacerations and apparent stab wounds.  Paniptchuck, who had been transported to the hospital by family members, told police that he had been beaten somewhere in Fairview.  The only description he could provide to police of his assailant was that the attacker was an African-American male adult.  No motive for the attack was provided to police.
