Anchorage Police Department Patrol officers responded to a burglary in progress call on 1-28-10 at 1250 hours, at an unoccupied residence on the 11600 block of Brook Hill Court in the area of Lake Otis Parkway and O’Malley Road. As the officers approached the suspect ran out of the back of the residence and a grey SUV, driven by another burglar, which had been parked in the garage of the residence, sped off.
Police have arrested a suspect in this burglary on charges of Burglary 1st degree, Theft 2nd degree, Criminal Mischief and Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance 4th degree. He is 18 year old Anchorage resident Christopher Turner.
Detectives from APD’s Burglary Unit believe that he was the driver of the grey Oldsmobile Bravada which left the residence.
Detectives are currently searching for another person of interest in this case, 19 year old Darien Carter, also of Anchorage.
Christopher Turner is scheduled to be arraigned after 1430 hours in Anchorage Jail Court.
